The Little Light House staff is made up of Certified Teachers, Licensed Therapists and Specialists, trained Associates, a Registered Nurse and a small Administrative Staff. All staff members, when applying sign a statement indicating they understand a agree to a policy called “Check Upon Request."

The Check Upon Request policy was established by the entire staff in 1976. The policy states that
The Little Light House will always pay bills first and the staff will be paid with whatever funds remain after the complete payment of all bills. The policy is only activated at times when the entire staff can not all be paid at the same time. Staff members needing their check on payday are encouraged to request their check. Those able to delay receipt of their paycheck voluntarily do so. All staff members ultimately get paid in full. Over the history of The Little Light House, some staff members have voluntarily delayed receipt of their paycheck for up to seven payroll periods. |
