By serving as a Volunteer at The Little Light House you can assist in assuring special
needs children the individualized services which are so critical to their progress.
Point Of Light
In 1991, President George Bush awarded The Little Light House his 536th Point of Light
in recognition of its outstanding volunteer program.
"To this day, The Little Light House remains one of
the most volunteer intensive organizations in the region"
Volunteer Opportunity areas include:
Administrative Office
Volunteers are needed to help with filing, data entry, phone calls, photocopying and
other tasks.
Classroom Volunteers
The Little Light House is blessed to have many men and women who are willing to volunteer
one day a week or more to work with our children under the supervision of a qualified
Staff member. All training is provided.
Facility Operations
Help ensure the Little Light House Facility is well maintained and efficient. The
Little Light House relies on individuals whose gifts vary from electrical work, carpentry,
painting, computer repair, welding and plumbing to handyman tasks.
Fund Raising
Volunteers may assist with securing sponsors, mailings, event publicity, and many
on site tasks.
