Mini-Laps 2012 Update

In just eight weeks the Little Light House will be putting on our biggest fundraiser of the year, Mini-Laps!  Mini-Laps is an event that celebrates all 64 students’ individual milestones they have reached throughout the year. On September 22, 2012, at 10:00 AM, our students will begin taking their mini-lap around the LLH track.

Mini-Laps is our only fundraiser where our parents raise all the funds and what an amazing job they do! Last year our parents raised a little over $374,000 for the LLH. This year our goal is $325,000 and they have already reached 12% of this goal! Way to go families!

You can read each of our children’s amazing stories and watch as they reach their goal by clicking on the picture below:

One exciting tradition of Mini-Laps is that every Mini-Laps has a special theme.  This year’s theme is “Happy Birthday Little Light House,” because this year marks our 40th anniversary making it the LLH’s 40th birthday! Our staff does a grand slam job of decking the playgrounds and track out, so get ready to party! The kids will be dressed up super cute too! Parents go all out for their kids’ costumes so be expecting little cakes, candles, cupcakes, lighthouses, piñatas, balloons, and maybe even a mini Marcia Mitchell (our founder and CEO) walking around the track this year!
