Christmas Activities

By: Little Light House Therapy Team

It is Christmas time and we have some fun activities for you! Below you will find a variety of activities developed by the Little Light House Therapy Team with you in mind. From wrapping presents for Baby Jesus to a social story for visiting Santa, we have you covered this holiday season.

Join Ms. Brooklyn and Ms. Courtney in helping them wrap up presents for Jesus’ birthday! For this activity, you’ll need wrapping paper or tissue paper, tape, your FAVORITE toy, and scissors if you are working on cutting skills. Wrapping presents is a great way to practice using two hands at the same time and strengthening those small hand muscles. It’s also a great way to remind our kids that Christmas is Jesus’ birthday! Merry Christmas, and we LOVE YOU! Can you wrap your favorite toy?

ACTIVITY 3:  Santa Claus is making a list and checking it twice! Good news…all of our Little Light House friends have made the NICE list! If you are planning a trip (socially distanced) to see Santa, read this social story with your kiddo(s) before you go! We hope this tool can help your child get excited to see Santa and help reduce anxiety.

Christmas is a special time of the year. It is the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God coming to Earth to save all people. The following activity is a fun way to teach children the Christmas story and invite them to participate in the telling of it. In this activity, you will create stick puppets and reenact the Christmas Story found in Matthew 1-2 and Luke 1-2.
