Current Positions

IT Technician

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for assisting with the support, repair, installation, and management of computers, networks, and other technology used at Little Light House by staff, students, and visitors. The IT Technician is technically skilled with strong problem-solving abilities. The IT Technician displays excellent interpersonal skills as they interact with colleagues from various departments and executive levels. They are required to listen to technical needs, understand problems, and implement solutions. 

Volunteer Engagement Assistant

The Volunteer Assistant supports the Volunteer Engagement Manager and volunteers at Little Light House. This position assists in creating a positive culture while ensuring that educational and therapeutic programs feel supported through the volunteer and college/career programs. The assistant helps ensure a positive experience for LLH volunteers and college/career interns, reflecting the Little Light House ministry.  The Volunteer Assistant aids in managing the day-to-day department operations, including tours, assignments for volunteers/interns, special events, and other items as needed. 

Special Education Content Creator & Instructor

The Special Education Content Creator & Instructor coordinates the Little Light House Academy, provides training across various settings, and works with the Outreach Team to make Little Light House resources available locally and globally. They oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive courses for students enrolled in the Little Light House Academy, host our Helping Kids Be Kids podcast, develop resources shared on our blog and social media channels, and teach in outreach events in the community.

Special Education Teacher

The Special Education Teacher is responsible for providing learning experiences for the preschool-aged students to whom they are assigned in spiritual development; cognitive, receptive, and expressive language; fine, gross motor, self-help, and social skills. The classroom teacher is responsible for the overall classroom management and implementation of the educational curriculum designed for each student, as well as for furthering the ministry and mission of Little Light House. The classroom teacher is responsible for supervising their classroom associates and volunteers and performing other duties as assigned.

Occupational Therapist

Developmental Center Occupational Therapists are responsible for providing transdisciplinary model occupational therapy services to children with special needs at The Little Light House. Must be a licensed occupational therapist and function within the transdisciplinary (TD) philosophy and team of Little Light House.

Staff Childcare Associate

The primary goal of the Staff Childcare Associate is to contribute to a loving, safe environment for SKIP (Staff Kids Inclusion Program) students. The SKIP Associate must love children and desire to help train and educate children of multiple ages. The SKIP associate must also work well with others and take direction and correction from supervisors well.

Part-Time Classroom Associate

The Classroom Associate is responsible for assisting the teacher in learning experiences for the students to which they are assigned in spiritual development, cognitive, receptive and expressive language, fine and gross motor and self-help, and social skills. The Classroom Associate is responsible for assisting in classroom activities and implementing educational curriculum designed for each student as directed by the teacher and furthering the ministry and mission of Little Light House. The classroom associate is responsible for supervising classroom volunteers alongside the teacher and performing other duties as assigned. 

Substitute Teachers

Little Light House is currently hiring substitute teachers. This role serves in our Developmental Center classroom on an as-needed basis.
